Jones is nice, and he was a big deal as a civil rights lawyer.

Alabama did elect him once, in a special election in 2017. He was matched agains Judge Roy Moore, who turned out to be sort of pedophile. And so Jones won.

But when the next election came around, Tuberville ran against him, and the people of Alabama in their wisdom decided he'd make a MUCH better senator.

Tuberville was a successful college football coach. In Alabama that's all the qualification he needs.
