Brad Marchand is a case study in turning public sentiment from hate to love. I would say that Bryson Dechambeau did a good job also. even in his hometown Marchand was not well liked as he had to live in the shadow of Sydney Crosby and maybe Brad made a few public gaffes as a teenager under the spotlight. Matter of fact many never thought he would ever play a game in the NHL. Myself included. He has gone on to be all star now with 2 Stanley cups and a number of impressive records such as all time leading Bruins Overtime goal scorer and all time shorthanded goal scorer. Now playing for Florida he is on the footstep of the hockey Hockey hall of fame and this article only highlights one instance of something he has done.
