Both of your links cite gallium and indium as the liquid metal components of these fibers. These metals are distinctly different from the zirconium based Liquidmetal bulk metallic glasses. In short, long term old timers are knowledgeable enough to scram from posts which cite gallium-centered metals. Jack, you really have posted here long enough to know better than to promulgate this total misunderstanding. What's your agenda?

I’ve never seen any reference to the continuous extrusion of BMGs which would be necessary to make a wire. I proposed LM guitar strings (or piano strings) to take advantage of acoustic properties several years ago.
