Kevin:
The first part will be answered I assume on November 14th....as far as spoiled children go:
I had to work part time from age 16 because my father wanted both my brother and me to earn and save....I did the same with my two children, both had part time jobs during high school and each wanted a car....I bought my oldest one a Mazda, but she had to pay me back for it each month and signed each time she gave me the money her senior year...she paid it all back (about $7000 no interest just a habit of paying for what she wanted, she did.....
I bought her a car when she graduated from college, no pay back. The other daughter saw her sister's car and wanted a car, too, she had to wait for her senior year, but I bought her a car (Honda Civic) and she had the same obligation: pay me back each month, sign a form each time...she also paid me back....bought her a car when she graduated....both take good care of their obligations, the oldest does not work but her husband takes good care of her & is well off... and their only child, too who graduated from college two years ago and lives with her boyfriend, The other daughter pays for her twins' college tuition and apartment, both work when home on break, she is divorced and pays everything by herself,...she bought them a used Subaru but no "tie down" like I did with them.
They both do pay for their Sorority Dues and odds and ends...but their Mom gives them enough to go on trips, etcl
Too many "self entitled young people" buying and buying and want Mommy and Daddy to pay...
