Our AIM friend who attempted the rapid "round trip" AIM trading with very small SAFE and Min Order size had expected only an upward trend. That was the shortfall of his idea. Your idea of the trading adapting to both upward and downward trends as they appear would have possibly saved him. I don't think he ever discussed the downside trend.

But, you have to also remember that this occurred back before the DotCom bubble, so everything 'tech' was still rising. "This Time It's Different" was still the mentality, so he didn't plan for the mess that started after Y2K and continued until around 2003.
