Keep in mind that Sabbagh was not expressing excitement about the trial -- he was excited about how CHMP was responding to the MAA.

yes, if they got through clock stop one, they know what the CHMP was focusing on, what concerned them. If Sabbagh felt that they had really solid answers, I could see how he could be excited. If Clock Stop One had no real issues, then Clock Stop Two, if it occurs, is more likely to be on non-deal killer issues like marketing and distribution, and the fundamental question of efficacy might be a accepted and passed at this point.
