Were you upset by 'deus ex machina'? That's a well-known Latin technical term describing a common ending to Greek melodramatic theater, where a god (Zeus or another) is literally brought down to the stage on a crane (the machina) and magically resolves all the drama plots and ties up the subplots. It doesn't mean the Christian God. In this case, if NW gets a buyout offer shortly after MHRA approval, then any and all issues around the company and the stock will be suddenly be ended, and the stock will appreciate to whatever the buyout offer price is. Just like the Greeks used to bring a god down onto the stage and suddenly resolve all the conflicts. I'm Buddhist hence I don't believe in God per se but I try hard to respect those who are religious. I don't think I made any blasphemous reference but I apologize if I did so by miistake.
