It's rather obvious that LP is returning Advent to its rightful owners... NWBO shareholders, who built and funded Advent with their shares.
She's most honorable with the highest integrity... doing right by her shareholders.

What would happen to NWBO if there is no approval for DCVax? What would happen to the debt on the books? Do they want to go through a restructuring? Doesn't the purchase of Advent fix all of those problems if they know there's no approval for DCVax?

Cashing what out? Payments don't start for 90 days and extend out 2 years. It’s not like there's a huge lump sum payment. If NWBO fails the payments won't be made.

Yes, super hard to figure out for FUDsters. To any reasonable person, it's quite obvious. Here's some reading for you:

I agree that decision to sell Advent is hard to figure out. I do agree it would even less sense if she knew approval was at hand.

Though the "cashing out: theory" holds water, it would imply Advent is somehow seriously f'd up. I can't believe a modern CDMO/ATMP facility is not worth at least $50M or so even w/o established customers.

It’s kinda amusing to watch you bears all trying to figure it out. The idea that Advent is being ‘cashed out’ because it’s worthless without DCVax-L approval is hilarious if you actually think about it for more than 5 seconds. Advent is a modern ATMP/CDMO facility – Toucan or Powers would only need to blink and half a dozen private equity firms would line up with $100M+ to repurpose it into a high-end cell manufacturing hub for other clients. The notion that it somehow has no value outside NWBO’s approval timeline doesn’t pass the laugh test. But sure, let’s pretend she’s ‘cashing out’ because it’s useless… hahahaha.”

If I may go into Cynical Mode, having Advent as a subsidiary of NWBO would give them enough insulation to survive a negative result from the MHRA, since they would have an income to fall back on, and keep going. Not so much on their own, imo. They would likely go BR.

So, in this cynical scenario, this would be a defensive move
