She probably did it to counter her growing legal issues.

For what ever reason she did it, don’t allow the disciples here to highjack the good news by adding all sorts of drunken lofty pumper dot connecting, or you’ll surely be disappointed. Wait for the details. The fact that she released this news without updating the website, simultaneously announcing management changes, or providing more details, indicates to me it was done quickly without much preparation. Let’s see.

"I'm not sophisticated enough to understand the full logic for keeping Advent separate from NWBO but clearly Ms. Powers has proven the naysayers wrong about her motivations."

LP deserves nothing less than the Nobel Prize for humanity for her extraordinary generosity and foresight in gifting Advent to NWBio. In an era when most executives put financial gain above all else, she chose a path of sacrifice and vision, ensuring that advanced manufacturing capacity for DCVax and other cell therapies would remain aligned with the mission of saving lives rather than maximizing profits.
Her decision was not just a corporate move — it was an act of humanity. By securing Advent for NWBio, LP ensured that patients battling some of the most devastating cancers would have real hope, not just promises. History will look back on this as one of the defining moments in the evolution of personalized medicine, when one leader put humanity first.
For this reason, LP’s name belongs alongside the greatest contributors to science and society — and the Nobel Committee should recognize her for it.
