#438211 RE: Liz40 #438209

Liz, I'm not sure Denner had much to do with "Adding countries systematically worldwide". That plan was in place and well underway long before he arrived. They have just continued to execute on that plan.

Operationally, I think the only thing he has done is strip costs out, and sell the European business. And I'm not saying those aren't good things. Hopefully both of those strategies work out well in the end.

But it sure would be nice to know what his ultimate goal is to extract full value from Amarin. As CBB stated, my belief has been for several years that the new formulation is the way forward. I don't think it makes sense that Denner is relying on the outcome of the trial, as anything can happen in court. Obviously we WANT a positive outcome, but I have to believe that the new formulation addresses multiple issues:
1. It could extend patent life (or establish new patent runway)
2. They may be looking to capture new indications
3. They may be looking to develop combo therapies (or sell that idea in a sale).
4. It can ultimately push out the generics because it is cheaper (fewer pills), more effective, and easier to take (fewer pills). AND, I believe they would introduce an authorized generic at the same time, under the MARINE indication only.
