Seriously? An outrage?
What is an outrage is the fact that research organizations can be shorted. If people are willing to invest thier money in research, at whatever price the stock may be, they should be allowed to do so without someone else being able to float shares for a personal profit. There is no interest of anyone with a short position other than to make money. It truly is a joke. Some longs would argue that it creates opportunity to buy at lower prices or opportunity for a squeeze, that is not the case with research status organizations and it only hinders the organization from raising capital and hurts investors not willing to float additional shares.
I would be curious why you find this such an "outrage"? Something personal?
