Tesla started out great, although pricey, and was really just a status symbol for many. Now the status has changed from an environmentally friendly vehicle, selected by an earth-conscious consumer, to a "swasticar",, bought by evil people who share Musk's insane views.
I do feel sorry for the early buyers, who are now being cast as supporters of Elon's madness. I see so many of the older ones with bumper stickers like, "When I bought it, I didn't know Elon was Evil."
The market is constantly changing, so investors need to adapt. This is holding its value for now, and the swings are making people money. Heck, even the losses will make some a lot of money. The eventual plummet will wipe out the fortunes of many blindly "faithful" investors.
