Just as many here believed that institutional buying helped push the stock up in 2021, and help support the higher price over the past few years I believed that selling millions of shares in a short amount of time would push the stock down.
It now appears there were strategies in place to muffle the effect on the stock price. Blackrock has sold some 5 million shares. I don’t know what strategies they use, but I guess I was wrong about it having an effect on the stock price. My guess is they had some kind of arrangement with market makers to avoid disruption.
I never claimed I’d be right about everything here.
