Take Melania Trump for example - surely she knew what she was getting when she hooked up with the trice divorced scum of a human being, but she signed a pre-nup to live in a life of luxury.
He's only been divorced twice, from Ivana and Marla. I don't think Melania was or is interested in power. Like her husband, she's into money. She also wanted a child. And, it seems, being left pretty much alone to do what she wants, except when her husband tells her it's important.
