#775449 RE: beartrap12 #775412

Beartrap, My thoughts on type of partnership.

Licensing: upfront / milestone pymts and royalties, sale of product goes to licensee
Partnership: collaboration, shared costs and expertise, higher royalty rates
Franchise: NWBO maintains core brand and technology, product, and sales

But if the future of medicine is base layer + adjuvant for an optimized and personalized therapy:
- DCVax “base layer” (sold by NWBO)
- Menu of “adjuvants” (sold by the Franchisee)
- Complexity of what is the best combination of adjuvants (modulating tumor microenvironment, proteomics, immune profiling, personalized medicine)
- Patients/oncologist more broadly access right-to-try, compassionate use, and off-label (requires submit request and provide justification to regulatory agencies)

Becomes a Franchise-as-a-Service Model, providing:
- NWBO's proteomic library and personalization expertise is proprietary
- Support oncologists in optimizing for a complete therapy and to streamline the bureaucracy to access all parts

But in reality it acts as a Marketing Channel for DCVax to reach into different oncologists, hospitals, and cancers more quickly.
