So you actually believe sitting a guy down a day or two helps. I don't actually believe that (although to be fair, your not the only person who ever said that), I think that it makes him think more about his struggles. I think letting Volpe play through this is the only option other than going out and trading for a better option at SS.

Problem is I don't think there are gonna be a ton of player available right now. How many teams are out of it right now in the AL, the white sox, maybe the A's, maybe the o's, That is the WC is currently playing two games over at the moment, so there is not gonna be a lot available. You have the pirates, marlins, nats, and rockies. Those are the only team I'm certain that will be sellers, so the price will be expensive to acquire pieces, I want the pirates closer for the mets, that is what intrigues me. If I was a yankees fan I would be interested in Mcmahon, or Suarez if he becomes available for the d-backs, because they would be so much better defensively if Jazz moves to 2nd base, and you get a real 3b, Mcmahon actually is a brilliant fielder at 3b. you would actually be very good defensively than, plus his offensive number have been good after that horrible April which skewed his numbers in my opinion.

Volpe's a gold glove winner- he's not sitting anytime soon, especially given the options the Yanks have in the infield these days.

Looks like Williams is going to get another crack at the closer's job. He has been pitching much better lately....now has the ERA under 6 and Weaver just gave up the tie-breaking run to the O's on a Urias dinger.
