Though stress has never been worrying part of my normal routine, and though my gp has not used the term "tension headache" .. https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/tension-headache .. my self-diagnose has reached the point that's likely what it is. A tightening sensation around the head fits exactly what i've felt off-and-on for years. And particularly in hot weather, lol, a "hot head" .. https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=175623660 .. which sucks. Although there is absolutely no pain involved, more just a hot flush which doesn't disappear like a normal flush does.
GP only got to suggesting a med which, via my friendly long-time Greek chemist, led to a generic Panamax .. https://www.drugs.com/compare/panamax . Am not sure whether that helps much at all, and don't do it now religiously as prescribed at six a day. I like my liver too much.
The deep breathing i do for COPD tends to tighten the lower back of neck muscles (it's one of the things they say in the breathing to try to avoid), and i do have some C4-5 disc herniation .. https://deukspine.com/blog/herniated-disc-c4-c5 .. which i've decided likely causes some tension there too.
So all of that is, lol, how i have concluded (for now) it's at least something to do with a tension headache thing.
Occasionally the tension back there has been so bad it was only relieved by letting my chin rest on the chest which is not cool when walking the streets. Ah, even now though no 'hot head' letting the head droop really does feel relaxing.
I know self-diagnosis is generally a no-no, but how else to learn more about something puzzling others without playing at being a self-imposed guinea pig, without searching and thinking about it. LOLOL
Oh, almost forgot: The most puzzling thing about the label tension headache for me is how can it be called a headache when there is no ache at all. ;-)
