#529312 RE: Lime Time #529304

Seriously now. If anyone knocked on my door and offered me five bucks, I wouldn't turn it down but after they walked away I'd forget why they even came in the first place. I don't know where you live but that is just pure fantasy.

I am old enough to remember Elon handing out million dollar checks like he was the fucking Publishers Clearing House for votes though. Where did you go to college? I attended a speech by Ronald Reagan at mine and this county hasn't voted for a Republican since I was born.

I wish they would have given me 5 bucks to attend.

Lime Time, You obviously don't care about reading more. You appear to not even know i live in Australia, not important, but what is important is that you spared no time at all in giving evidence that you are still open to brainwashing . Just like i said you were:

Live fact checking the 2020 election

False: UAW refutes claim from Trump campaign that it offered to pay woman to vote for Biden

A tweet from Mike Roman, the Trump campaign’s director of Election Day operations, claims, “One of our volunteers in Pontiac MI was outside a polling location when a Democrat operative approached her with a sample D ballot and offered her $5 to vote for Joe Biden.” Attached to the tweet is a video of a woman who says, “I was in Pontiac at Baldwin House as a poll observer.” The Baldwin Center, not Baldwin House, is a polling location in Pontiac. “A man from UAW approached me and gave me this sample ballot to vote for all the Democrats and he gave me $5 and told me to go and vote for Biden,” she claims while holding up up a ballot that has been marked up in handwriting that says “sample” on it and a $5 bill. Jo Lynn Williams, Pontiac’s elections administrator said she was at that polling location three times today. She said she did not notice anyone from the UAW outside the polling location. Brian Rothenberg, a spokesperson for the UAW, refuted the claim. “We didn’t have anyone at the polls,” he said. “Because of COVID we were just doing lit drops because of safety issues and we did phone calling today,” he said.

Pallets of bricks in Detroit for construction, not riots

A pallet of bricks near the Wayne State University Tierney Alumni House in Detroit are for constructing a wall, not a riot, said the owner of the construction company building a screening wall with the bricks.

Posts about the bricks made their way onto Facebook, Twitter and Telegram, which is an encrypted instant messaging service. One post made the false claim that bricks were being "set up" in downtown Detroit, just as they had been in other cities before "they set off the riots." One post with a photo of the bricks was shared more than 800 times.

John Hamood, 62, is the owner of John Hamood Construction Services out of Dearborn. The bricks were in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station next to the construction site at 5564 Woodward Ave. in Midtown. Hamood said after multiple people stopped at the gas station to ask about the purpose of the bricks, the owner of the gas station got in touch with him and asked him to put a cover over them.

“There were not any loose bricks,” Hamood said. “There are metal bands that strap them tightly together.”

Similar claims about brick stockpiles were made over the summer when riots erupted in major cities after the death of George Floyd, a Black man who died after a white police officer knelt on his neck during an arrest in Minneapolis on May 25. After Factcheck.org reviewed five social media posts that made these claims, the site found all the bricks in those posts were meant to be used in construction projects.

Michigan Republican Party and Trump campaign set up voter hotline in Michigan

Multiple Trump-supporting Facebook pages have shared a phone number with a Lansing area code for voters to report voting issues in battleground states, including Michigan. Tony Zammit, communications director for the Michigan Republican Party, said the party is working with the Trump campaign to operate the hotline. This is not the first time the state party has operated a hotline, Zammit said. “The hotline is mostly there for our people who are out there poll challenging to call and report issues that they’ve seen at the polls," he added. Zammit says there's misinformation about the role of poll challengers. "You hear a lot about how they're there to intimidate voters but they're not actually allowed to talk to voters," Zammit said. The same phone number was tweeted out yesterday by Mike Roman, Trump's director of Election Day Operations, asking those interested to join the “Michigan Challenger Team.” . “Absentee Ballot processing starts in Detroit today… Trump Challengers will have 100% coverage (unless crooked officials try to kick them out)!” the tweet read.

In a statement to the Detroit Free Press Thea McDonald, the campaign’s deputy national press secretary wrote, “While President Trump has fought for a fair, transparent election since day one, Democrats have proven their lack of trustworthiness time and again this election cycle with their constant attempts to rig election rules, mere weeks before Election Day, to stack the deck for their lackluster candidate.” For months, Trump has claimed without evidence that mail-in voting, which is the same as absentee voting, is susceptible to fraud. It is not clear how information reported to the hot line will be used. The Michigan Secretary of State’s office has urged voters to contact the Bureau of Elections at 517-335-3234 if they see any problems they would like to report. Voters who experience or witness voter intimidation can contact the Michigan Attorney General's Office 517-335-7659 or miag@michigan.gov.

False: Splitting your ticket will spoil your ballot

A video posted to Facebook by Flint city councilmember Maurice Davis claims that he was told that if he did not vote straight ticket, his ballot would be spoiled. Davis says he voted for President Donald Trump. Davis, a lifelong Democrat, endorsed Trump ahead of the election. “I didn’t know it was so hard to vote, but we voted,” he says in the video. A woman in the video says the two had to call the clerk’s office and “straighten out the Haskell Center,” a polling site where voters from three Flint precincts are casting their ballots today. “They had people voting straight ticket, telling them if you voted not straight ticket your ballot was going to be spoiled,” she says. Flint city clerk Inez Brown had not heard of the Facebook video but said “it would be incorrect to instruct anybody about anything like that.” Voters can choose to vote straight ticket, supporting the candidates in each race from their preferred political party, or they can split their ticket, supporting a mix of candidates belonging to different parties. Brown said that she has not heard from the councilmember today but that he may have spoken to someone else in the clerk’s office. “He does have my direct number and he could have called me directly,” Brown said. The precinct chairs supervising voting at the Haskell Center have been instructed not to speak to members of the media. The councilmember was not immediately available for comment.

As for your men in women's sport garbage, there are very few problems and where they exist they are being worked out. In most all cases the question is being handled well by sports administrations. If trans women and girls can compete with other women fairly, then why not.
