Clinicaltrials.gov notes trial participants as 71.
That. is correct BUT so is my post below.
The original information at Clinicaltrials.gov said that they estimated 40 total patients for both Part A and Part B and a previous press release stated that the Part A was completed with 16 participants therefore Part B originally would recruit 24 additional participants.
So Part B was increased from 24 to 55 participants a 129% increase.
Part A had 16 participants and Part B had 55 participants for a total of 71 participants.
georgejjl Re: None Saturday, May 10, 2025 8:50:38 PM Post# of 489579 Why do you think that Dr. Christopher Missling MS PhD MBA decided to increase the Phase 2 Part B schizophrenia trial from 24 patients to 55 participants that is a (31/24) 100%=129.2% increase? He said that he wanted to increase the power of the trial. The "power" of a trial, especially in a clinical trial, refers to its ability to detect a true difference between groups or interventions when one actually exists. It's essentially the probability of a true positive result.
