Yeah .... nice news .... but not what folks are looking for at this point in time.
The silence doesn't cut it. PR released at 6PM ... doesn't cut it. Person in charge of PRs should be fired. This isn't the first time. But it damn sure should be the last. Might as well release at midnight when everyone is inspecting the insides of their eyelids.
LICENSE / JV with animal pharma i.e. MONEY $$$$$ CHA CHING ... whatever you wanna call it ... is what investors are looking for. If that isn't happening .... need to SELL THE COMPANY to someone who can get the job done. It's literally been 20 years here. More than 10 years since they actually got serious about the research behind the algae.
Avian flu is a new vertical just added late last year .... so all the testing protocols and validations are necessary ... separately ... for each vertical. It is what it is and has to happen with every new target. So Avian flu test results show that a particular formulation shows results ... albeit not statistically significant at this point. And the U of D PhD said ..... any positive result is a big deal in this vertical.
What I find most interesting from the release is what you pointed out. Submissions for state and federal GRANT MONEY. Michigan - $5.5 million USDA - a piece of $100 million in free money for Avian Flu research
Funny with less than 4 million shares out ..... Michigan grant of that size would mean more than $1 / share and pretty much fund a fair portion of a year's worth of testing. USDA ... anyone's guess on how much ZIVO would be asking for there but obviously a big pot of money. And with USDA looking for non antibiotic options ..... good move to see what they can get. Wouldn't shock me if ZIVO got money from Michigan but I wouldn't expect they get the full $5.5 million. USDA I'd be happy with $4-5 million outta that pot of money. One thing that gives me pause about these grants is they are geared towards HPAI and ZIVO first tests here are LPAI targeted. Dunno how much crossover or significant from a research perspective that is cause I'm not a Phd but something to keep in mind.
