If Linda knew there was no NSS, then the fastest way to silence this theory forever would be to take action—issue the dividend, force reconciliation, and prove it’s clean.
But she hasn’t. Why?
Because the risk isn’t that it confirms a fantasy. The risk is that it exposes a reality—one that’s harder to manage once it’s public. You say “game over”—but not for longs. It’s “game over” for those still operating under the assumption that phantom shares can stay hidden indefinitely.
As for VPLM or any other ticker, I’m not borrowing their playbook—I’m pointing to clear market mechanisms, used by Overstock, approved by the SEC, and feared by those with synthetic positions.
You don’t have to believe it. But calling a strategic audit of the share structure “delusion” sounds less like skepticism and more like nervousness.
