In reality 3 to 5 days does give a company the chance to time their release.

My old broker told me that good news is best released early in the week. Brokers work the news and it's only considered news the week it's released, so early in the week gives them the most time to work with their customers.

Bad news is best dumped after the close on Friday, and if really terrible, on a 3 day weekend if possible.

Given the opportunity, I believe NWBO will try to release early in a week, but not necessarily on Monday unless they have the word shortly before, and can plan for such a release. If notified on Monday, I suspect they'd stage it properly on Tuesday rather than rushing it out on Monday.

The original question was about what time of day NWBO will announce the MHRA decision. My point was simply that I expect the company will choose the timing of the day that suits their communication strategy — of course within the SEC rules and the typical 3-5 day window for material events. I agree they can’t sit on the news indefinitely, but the precise hour they go public doesn’t have to match the exact hour they receive the MHRA notice.
