Unfortunately for you, the timing of your article made you a target which any little bit of research about this ticker and history of timed articles would have indicated you would be. You see, NWBO longs are just tired of seeing negative articles come out right when a little good news is shared or is about to be shared and you stepped right into this with both feet.
NWBO represents David vs Goliath and there are a lot of longs cheering for the David in this picture. The reason for this seems to escape you so let me lay it out straight to the point. NWBO represents hope for a pathway to a cure for all cancer types and then beyond because the science points to the possibility of this. The DCVax-L Phase 3 is just one of many studies and that was solo while others with Poly ICLC, checkpoint inhibitors and other tech are ongoing or planned. The lack of funding keeps this ticker from moving forward and Linda now trusts no one to move this tech forward expeditiously because of the impact that a “cure” and a universal preventative vaccine, that this tech points to being able to create eventually, would have on the pharmaceutical and medical professions and beyond.
I just watched a movie last night about the OxyContin and fentanyl crisis. That affected the main characters in the movie to the point that it led to some vigilantism justice. There was also a sub plot about meds in development that someone in big pharma was pushing researchers to sign off on or get FDA approval for in spite of significant concerns about data. There are many folks that support NWBO that are not happy with the stories that Purdue Pharma and others represent.
When NWBO presented themselves as a threat to the current system of “treat don’t cure” there was an open call to consider the economic implications of what a cure for cancer and other diseases represents. The potential for DC treatment of disease with the potential for cure created by long term immune memory began to be realized by about 2012 or before and big pharma research with DC treatment combined with checkpoint inhibitors increased the reality of that potential threat. All this to say that anything perceived as interference with a pathway to a cure for cancer is going to get NWBO investors riled up. They aren’t vigilantes like were in the movie but we have witnessed real life vigilantism against an insurance company CEO not long ago and the support that came from many for what that vigilante did.
The science says NWBO is on the right path to cures with DCs and the science can’t be buried forever, especially by those looking only at or even just primarily at the short term issues NWBO faces. Resilience and perseverance are two of the strongest attributes of this company and its investors much to the chagrin of those that support the status quo or even appear to be supporting the status quo.
