Not operable does not mean that a sufficient portion of the tumor can't be resected. It generally means that the amount of tumor that can be removed to be useful in extending the patients life would require removing too much brain tissue.

Those two things are quite different.

Removing enough tissue for DCVax-L treatment could be a small portion of the overall tumor.
