I had a funny thought. Remember "Iraqi Freedom?" When I was visiting Grandma in the Ukraine, the US was at war with Iraq. My wife bought a potty chair for my baby daughter that was made in Iraq. I nicknamed it "Iraqi Crappi." Maybe the BRICS countries would do a deal with excess Chinese goods?
On the flipside, maybe the buyers at the big US Stores will still be buying Chinese goods after a severe mark-down by the manufacturers? Of course this always hurts the working class either way you look at it. Painful process until things settle out.

Dang, we're in a Sports slow time. March Madness is over, no football, Baseball just started. I'll have to revert to WWF.

While I agree with the idea of both parties needing to save face ...China is the second largest holder of our treasury debt . If they decide to start selling then interest rates on the 10 yr will raise , housing market will struggle more than it already is .
It's a small thing that most here probably aren't aware of . Over night into the open ...the treasury market was selling off at the same time the market was selling off .
This is rare ...and dangerous .
There are several reasons behind this but if Trump and Co have any hope of passing their economic plan ...they need the 10 yr lower ...a lot lower .
Meanwhile congrats on making your $ back on TSLA and glad to see AMRN was along for the ride

By the way ...Chinese citizens are far more likely to endure economic pain ....they dont have a mid term election in 2026 where a disgruntled US population can throw the Republicans out of the Congress / Senate ...like after Smoot Hawley 95 yrs ago
