One possibility is the slowdown / recession could have a deflationary aspect, helping to counterbalance inflation from the tariffs. But that could be wishful thinking, and instead we end up with the dreaded 'stagflation' and a hamstrung Fed. But as in the 1970's, at least gold and silver are benefiting from the turmoil, so some consolation for investors
