If Romney would have won in 12' there never would have been any Trump. Not to mention, if the Republicans would have nominated Romney, instead of McCain, in 08' then Romney may have won then. Don't get me wrong, I have a ton of respect for John McCain and actually met him back in the late 80's. And he had the base in his pocket in the 08' primaries. But, he was not as strong a general election candidate as Romney would have been, and then he tabbed Sarah Palin for his running mate.....
