Until my mid 20's I thought I only liked milk chocolate. That changed when I tried a piece of Dove dark chocolate and realized that it tasted like the rich chocolate desserts that I was getting at nice restaurants. Flourless chocolate cake soft-converted me to dark chocolate 🍫
Chocolate is different all over the world. Two bars with the same name can taste different depending on where they are made. Try some Swiss dark chocolate to experience the taste. Villars or Toblerone are good. I'd like to try the Trader joes, but Amazon don't have them up here. These will have to do.
I find American chocolate grainy. It's under processed and has additives to increase shelf life. It tastes cheap to me, but personal tastes for chocolate vary widely.
