Personally, I'd rather them communicate their ongoing progress and allow the share price to rise, than for them to stay quiet to keep the share price low because they believe it may help in their settlement negotiations.

Just to be clear as your intended meaning… are you thinking the company would like to keep the share price low to help with settlement negotiations, or keep communication to a minimum as it may help with any settlement negotiations?

That would be absurd . MMs can also discover if SP is deliberately being manipulated down during discovery process.  That would imply plaintiffs  are  doing same thing that they are accusing defendants of . This line of thinking makes no sense at all .
