Congress created the Advantage option for Medicare at the behest of the insurance industry to get a chance to make profits from Medicare recipients. They make profits by minimizing care through procedural run arounds and paperwork.
I ‘m very happy with my regular Medicare since it is not driven by a profit motive. No run around getting coverage when needed.
Medicare advantage is not government Medicare. People should avoid these plans which look good up front but provide less at their core. Medicare is run much more leanly than for-profit Medicare advantage plans. However, they all would suffer if Medicare is cut, including any coverage of AD prescriptions.
