Yes, it's possible that Anavex will not be able to answer the LoQ and then will withdraw its MAA. That seems a pretty extreme possibility. More likely is that Anavex will come up with some kind of answer to a difficult question in the hope that it will satisfy the EMA; there is little downside to this. Do we have stats as to when MAA withdrawals occur, or are we making assumptions about the timing?
And I still want to keep this in context -- very few MAAs are withdrawn.
