Thanks. That's interesting. We were talking about it recently at the Food board. Or rather, not about the problem in Canada, about whether it was important to use iodized salt.

You should post about that there, too. Obviously, it's an easy problem for anyone not getting enough iodine to fix. I confess I haven't bought iodized salt in a million years. Just looked at my bottle of Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt. You'll be pleased to hear it's dairy free. Gluten free, too.

Yes Iodine is necessary for a diet. It's the skippy salts like kosher and sea salt that contain no iodine that are creating the problem.
