'Operationally extinct' warrants debate. Trump has never shown any ability to foresee consequences.

See 'stop the steal' and 1/6. Stealing the docs and moving them around to obstruct their retrieval and that shit phone call to GA seeking just 11K more votes. 'can ya help a guy out?'; all three cases should have gone to trial. An innocent man would have demanded such.

Not that you're interested in facts, just nasty acquiescence, but here's a more fulsome approach to your subject matter which also fully addresses the continued independent agency of USAID from inception via EO in 1961 by JFK, established agency in 1968, and upheld as recently as 2024. The funds impoundment to choke the agency to death is clearly illegal, without question. But, hey, it's just another crime/illegality for this shallow excuse of an administration!
Can the President Dissolve USAID by Executive Order?

Also, you illogically opined that...

Also you present a logical fallacy. On the one hand you say these are illegal actions on Trump's part by trying to stop this wild spending. And then you go on to blame him for not doing anything about it last time he was president. It can't be both things. Either he has the power to fix it or he doesn't.

Simply and completely logically, he has the power to both stop unwise spending now, and could have previously...if done so legally and following the prescribed process!

Trump accused USAID, without evidence, of spending money fraudulently

WASHINGTON, Feb 7 (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Friday said he will enter a "limited" order temporarily blocking the Trump administration from taking some steps to dismantle the U.S. Agency for International Development, adding that 2,200 employees from the agency would not immediately be placed on administrative leave.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols in Washington, who was nominated by Trump during his first term, announced the decision at a hearing on a lawsuit from the largest U.S. government workers' union and an association of foreign service workers, who sued to stop the administration from dismantling the agency.
