Just speculation on my part, but I’m think one of two things.

1. Either a drug company reached a ctla combo agreement with NWBO, and this IP expansion was part and parcel of those agreement terms, or

2. NWBO took the initiative to add ctla to the IP because they are pursuing with a biosimilar product.
