I do what exactly what you do. Sometimes i might have three in mail, reply to one, go back and the others are gone.

I don't understand what you mean by "You can always find any post you've lost track of in your profile."

I click on my alias, that's the profile page. Then what to find a post i've missed.

Ok, could go to latest posts and see if there are replies i haven't answered. Yes, i do that

Like just then i revisited my reply to you, and mail is empty. I got two mail notifications. Mail still empty.
