Well, I am just hopeful, because we are on a foothill of MT Tam surrounded by trees/forest with hiking trails -- a bad guy planning great harm could scope out a very flammable tree/bushes to set on fire some night when the winds are blowing hard -- a disaster like LA could happen unless the fire was extinguished promptly -- hoping air craft could do that as doubtful ground people/equipment could get it done
I know of is in San Fransisco, where massive pumps are in place that can charge the hydrant system with seawater in extreme emergencies. Maybe you could lead the charge in raising the taxes to have one installed in your city.
