Of course, you have to believe. That's all you do—believe every single positive word from the people here. What else can you do? And of course, you'll be fine if he misses. You forgive him until he finally gets it right (he's got 12 tries anyway). And you'll pat him on the back and praise him as if he got it on the first try.
You know what's funny? When one person only shares positive comments about the company and keeps the hopes up, you all always agree with them. But when he or she expresses negativity or doubt, people immediately label them a basher or say they have a short position, or come up with all sorts of other things. Honestly, you guys are the nastiest people.
