Right. Two of the most eye opening things Yves said was:
1 The need to show that polymers can be incorporated into more than one foundry. He stated this as a goal. The implication is that what they have shown to date is not sufficient in terms of the breadth
2.The preference the optical engine PIC companies have for using certain foundries. It sounded as though he may have to engage those specific foundries - and possibly prove out that polymers will work in them before those PIC companies will work with lightwave.
In other words, the foundries they have worked with appear to be insufficient for the next stage in the company’s go forward plan.
I’m somewhat surprised that not a single person other than myself seems to be talking about this. He talked about it at some length starting around the 18 minute mark. Do others here agree with me or do you have different interpretations?
