Steady T I think we would have the potential to totally eliminate the need for a market maker and fill orders efficiently electronically! I think it has been proven with advanced technology (quantum computing if it takes place within our life time) a system would be able to EASILY match buys and sells without the subjective "help" from mm's who anyone who has worked within the industry in trading, block trading, institutional sales knows are working together to fill orders.
