Question regarding Buy and Sell SAFE,

Have been trying out JoeForkeyBolo's spreadsheet which he was immensely gracious in sharing with me! Seems like it will work beautifully. I had read sometime back, on this board or elsewhere, that SAFE can be adjusted upward ( Buy 0, and Sell 20) for a stock or ETF whose tragectory is mostly up. Has someone tested this out in real life to see if returns are higher compared to the Buy 10 and Sell 10 recommended in Lichello's book?

Also the suggested 5% of stick to buy or sell is determined by the initial stock value or the current stock value?
