I've already had a nasty kind of bronchitis or something that's been going around here. It just kept on going, so I went to the doctor, which I rarely do. She gave me antibiotics and some pills for the nonstop cough, saying that of course if it didn't work, it was a virus. Then cough finally went away, and I feel somewhat better, but not wonderful.

Your egg prices are crazy high because California declared the avian flu an emergency. We haven't, so they cost less.

I don't like eggs, but I do like things like mayo, so it's annoying.

There's a big cat sanctuary a ferry ride and hour's drive from my casa....it has lost almost half its cats to avian flu... and I also read that the first case of it in a human has been recorded.

Not good.

I have plenty of eggs, but, on the local nextdoor, word is that there's a couple local stores that have eggs for somewhat reasonable prices-- might be that their shelves are empty, tho.

I got two turkeys for .99/lb a while back... they're in the freezer. Don't recall the brand, but I think they're fine. It was a grand opening special at the local AZ Fresh store.. I bought scads of stuff on deals... otherwise, their prices are way too high if not on specials. which is why I shop at Fred Meyer. I shop on Fridays for 4x fuels points. Even a single guy, I was able to get 2000 fuel points for November, and got two 35 gallon fillups, including a bunch of cans, at $1 a gallon off! Have 1100 fuel points to use this month
