I work with a lot of building inspectors. Most of them are pretty easy going. Not a bad gig.

One construction official (who reviews plans to make sure they conform to the building code) got caught taking bribes to look the other way on multiple violations. His license was yanked and he lost his pension by amazingly he didn't land in jail. He's now a general contractor.

I think that's why she always wants me to come to them and be the building inspector.
