We know that the short sale numbers are high and climbing; the shorts need to press this in order to affect psychology as they want the price to go lower and stay down....you might want to pay attention to the "DAYS TO COVER".....because the recent volume has gone up quite a lot their risk has also gone up.....fuel for a sharp short covering event, but also for an attempt to press down on any disappointing news.
Although short interest is an interesting thing....the 10 trading days behind the event makes it less useful, we should have data at least closer to real time! I rather watch the price, volume and other things to key into the current action
