I don't want to go down that road of "opioid use causes the device to not work" because I don't believe that's true. Hope not, because if true, BIEL will never be able to claim the device reduces opioid use. They are claiming that now, so they'd have to stop, and forget about the NOPAIN Act in 2026 or 2027, which I assume is still a brass ring for shareholders.

Perhaps opioid use makes the device work LESS effectively, but it would not make the device work WORSE than placebo, IMO, which means the results of Ilfeld's opioid study were simply skewed by small sample size. That's common in clinical trials.

With a small sample size, a handful of patients can really skew the numbers. Rawe learned that in this study where just ONE patient skewed his opioid results
