While Judge Ho ruled efficiently in Phunware, the timeline in Northwest may stretch further due to the complexity of the amended complaint and the broader implications of its legal arguments. A decision in Northwest could reasonably take 6–9 months from the date the amended motion is fully briefed.

In Phunware, the judge ruled on the MTD faster, potentially due to:
* A less extensive history compared to Northwest.
* The legal arguments may have been less complex or more straightforward.

In Northwest, the timeline for the amended MTD ruling could be extended longer due to:
* The complexity of re-evaluating amended allegations.
* The number of defendants and scope of allegations (Northwest involves multiple financial institutions).

So I think we see a ruling between Dec 14 and March 14 2025

Not so fast. In Phumware they asserted damages from events in the seconds following the spoof. The Judge accepted that, but did not rule one way or the other one on asserted damages in the subsequent hour.

This is the most significant issue raised by the defense in the 2nd MTD, that 1 hour was too long. Phumware could easily show sales in the subsequent seconds as they were using a ATM to sell shares continually into the market.

So, key issue fow NWBO not addressed by Huo.
