Obviously I haven't been here as long as you Golf.
I was here for a flip trade a couple of years ago think it was. Recall the wind turbine era maybe? Pretty sure that was Jim. If memory serves it was, anyway in and out of that like a cut cat. Around the time of Covid I think. It didn't matter if it was legit or not there was such a barrage of bashing and controversy the likes of which I'd never witnessed.
The next update won't be from Jim as far as I can make out he has stepped aside. It will be from the new heavyweight director (Balkner?) or Rohan Chanmugan. Who knows, all that's clear is Jim is retiring without fanfare, typical enigmatic minimalism. My God he might be a nice guy I genuinely mean that. His job is to PROMOTE the company because he's the only guy responsible or capable of the integrity for doing that.
He has again ardently avoided promotion here at this juncture. He may want to avoid stealing any limelight from new management. Ok fine, but again he could have simply said he's handing over the reigns to Balkner who's a very accomplished director, or even just say new management and wish investors well. I'd of thought the world of Jim for doing that little touch.
It just wasn't in him, he just doesn't own the capability. NOPE! No sir he chose to DISAPPEAR. Obviously that has every shareholder wondering what fate he has driven them too. Naturally they're going to fear the worst, the fear of the unknown is the worst fear. Like I say might be a really cordial dude but Lordy Lordy Golf, what a compromise as a CEO. The lemmings at the edge of the cliff analogy seems very apropos here. I wish him well I'm not saying his job was easy what a dummy. He's obviously got smarts to get us this far and I thank him for that, wherever that is!!!??? He has left everyone in the dark. So cheer up and give new management the benefit of the doubt. There's clear intent to do something significant, interesting week ahead!
Your problem is Jim hasn't done his job, even blaming investors for not pumping the previous merger. That was my first clue. Yes he did try to get AFFU taken over by Patrick, yes has tried other mergers. Jim's Achilles heel is he doesn't want to do the critically necessary* promotion. I'm sure you can immediately see the implications of that shortcoming. But I see the wear and tear on longs his lack of promotional skills that's a MUST HAVE for success in the pinks. Jim can't or Jim won't (maybe both) but a brutal handicap on this company. Super sized stress on it's shareholders.
No Golf I just want you to heave a sigh of relief. Realize full well the radical restrictions you have been trading under these past three years have been butchering AFFU's chances. Pat yourself on the back, I couldn't have done it! Don't act excited, don't act at all. Keep telling it as you see it, that's what I look FORWARD too. Get some rest a very pivotal week is rapidly approaching. Let's hope it's a new beginning of transparency and growth. You're due Bud!
