It isn't a Dirty Book. S/he simply wanted to explain the problems s/he had in her life because s/he is different. The idea is to help other kids. In the sense of teens.
I think you underestimate the "common sense" of kids. They'd wonder why you're having the vapors, I'm sure.

Oh, sorry it's not about how the child feels. It's about you, unable or unwilling or both to feel any empathy for the unhappiness the author at age 13 felt.
