At City of Hope I know that they send people to carry stem cells being donated to the patients receiving them, whether they're cryogenically preserved, or not. In many cases they come from Europe where in many countries to get your drivers license you need to submit a DNA sample. I know that shipping material in vacuum flasks full of liquid nitrogen isn't a big problem, but they don't trust it enough to not send people. I don't know that this may not also be the case with the products to make the vaccine. I would think each vial for an individual dose could be shipped as worst case you've lost one dose. If you lose the tumor, you cannot make the vaccine.

I frankly have no idea if others follow the example I'm giving for City of Hope.
