My conclusions are more or less these:

We know there are many people who said they voted for Obama in 2008 and 2021 who then voted for Trump in 2016. Many of those people voted for Biden in 2020, and in 2024 switched once again to Trump.

What that tells me is that many Americans--enough to swing an election from one party to another--want change, but aren't sure what kind of change they want.

Not sure Obama was the right choice to deliver that message to black men. He actually won NC the first time around and just barely lost the second time.

NC is a bit of an odd state. Cooper was governor for 2 terms and we just elected Stein as well as winning the Lt Gov, Atty Gen and SOS. So it was a clean sweep of the state offices for the Dems. And even though the GOP controls the Senate and House we took away their super majority to override vetoes.

All in all it was a pretty good day here in NC.
