Harris moved to the center. I've never really seen her as being wildly "progressive". She's a pragmatist, as most lawyers are.
And I find it disturbing that we're so childish and macho as a nation that we refuse to elect a woman to the presidency, even when the alternative is a criminal authoritarian.
Biden's mistake was running for re-election. He should have been a one term president so the Dems could pick a Centrist to run against Trump.
Sounds good, but the problem is that that would have made him a lame duck president, unable to get anything done. It could have worked if our presidential campaigns hadn't become two-year events, but they have, although it's an enormous waste of time and money.
The border is like the Middle East. There's no good solution.
What I find disturbing about the results of this election is that so many of us didn't see it coming. I know I didn't. I accepted that it would be close, but thought it shouldn't be. I wouldn't have been surprised if she'd won big. And I most certainly thought she'd pull it out even if it were close.
